About Action Door by Modern Day Garage
Garage Door Services in Elyria
Action Door has served Elyria and Lorain County for more than seventy years. The business opened on Lorain Boulevard in 1954 and has operated from the same location ever since, working on garage doors across the same neighbourhoods for three generations of local customers.
Our services cover residential and commercial garage doors and openers; entry, patio and storm doors; and a commercial department handling rolling steel doors, loading dock equipment and fire door inspection for facilities throughout Northeast Ohio.
Because we stock parts locally, the majority of service calls are completed on the first visit rather than requiring a return trip.
In 2026 Action Door joined Modern Day Garage, a group of locally operated door companies across Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The location, team and telephone number remain unchanged, with greater technician capacity and inventory available to support them.
